The only thing The-Dream loves more than 80's music and iconography is a sultry multi-song story arc, so it makes perfect sense that both are on hand for his third album, Love King, just released yesterday on Def Jam. The-Dream just premiered the Motion Family directed video for what is arguably Love King's centerpiece, the trilogy of "Yamaha", "Nikki pt. 2" and "Abyss". This narrative about a jumpofff turned stalker should be a cautionary tale, but the fun part is so damned fun that it seems like she might have been worth all the heartbreak. Yeah, "Yamaha" sounds like every Prince and the Revolution song rolled into one, and the visuals basically reenact Robert Palmer's classic "Addicted to Love" video, but it's still a good look.
