The Decemberists: "The Wanting Comes in Waves/Repaid" and Interview (Live on the Colbert Report) (Video)

The Decemberists were on The Colbert Report last night promoting their rock-opera The Hazards of Love. Chris Funk, who was one of the first musicians to ever appear on The Colbert Report, and Colin Meloy sat with Colbert for an interview about the album's title, using the Victorian era as a focus ("it's great, you can send your kids to a textile factory"), and Meloy's sideburns. Then the band, with guest Shara Worden, play a sing-along take of "The Wanting Comes in Waves/Repaid," which features one of the Decemberists' most crushing riffs.

The Decemberists go on a full U.S. tour in May.
