The Hazards of Love is the Decemberists’ most commercially successful album to date, and they’re currently doing the late night talk show rounds to promote the record. On Friday (May 22), Colin Meloy brought his band to Craig Ferguson’s studio to perform “The Hazards of Love 2.”
Ferguson describes them as “folk-rockers” as he introduces the band, which doesn’t quite fit for “Hazards of Love 2,” which errs toward the kind of organ-led tracks Ryan Adams occasionally performs. Perhaps Meloy will be more inspired when he lays off the Orangina, which is a shared Decemberists passion according to their official website.
