It's that time once again to prep for a release from the nerdiest of 90s Velvet Underground-inspired druggy power pop bands, The Dandy Warhols. Earth to the Dandy Warhols, their first album since 2005's somewhat underrated Odditorium Or Warlords Of Mars, will be released on August 19, and some tracks have already made their way to IMEEM. While two of them reflect the tired nature of the bands material, the blistering, rhythm-driven "The World People Together (Come On)", which sounds destined to be this album's equivalent of "Scientist", is enough to remind you why the band has lasted this long.
Wow, I was cringing and expecting that to be really horrible, but it wasn't. It's nice that Courtney is putting his often obnoxious vocals way back in the mix for once. Reminded me of the band's old, really good song "It's a Fast Driving Rave Up with the Dandy Warhols."
