Chomping at the bit for that new Cure album that's been promised sometime this fall? Settle down, pastyface, there's still no fixed release date. The sccond of four scheduled pre-album singles is on it's way, but in the meantime here's a preview of new track "A Perfect Boy" as captured by a cagey YouTuber at the band's Red Rocks, CO show. You have to endure a bit of chatter from a couple of noisy nimrods in the audience towards the end, but for the most part the sound quaility is entirely acceptable, and as with recent single "The Only One," the song serves to remind that while The Cure will always be notorious for their goth tendencies, they've always been just as much a power-pop band, from "Boys Don't Cry" through "Friday I'm in Love," right up to the present moment.
