"Pennies" by The Cool Kids originally appeared in the ads for NBA 2K9, but apparently the song is also the first single from the Chicago duo's debut full-length, When Fish Ride Bicycles (out sometime in 2009). The video features Chuck Inglish wandering around a laundromat, and mysteriously sitting on a stack of appliances outside, wile Mikey walks around with an alligator head on a remote control car. I'm not sure what that has to do with "throwing pennies on the ground," but this seriously looks like it could find it's way onto MTV. [Pitchfork]
