Two signs Cool Kids hype has gone mainstream: the group had a write-up in the New York Times this weekend profiling them and the rest of the new old school hip-hop groups (like Pacific Division and the Knux), and this video for “Delivery Man” that’s premiering on MTV.
The song takes the Kids’ normal boasts about their rap skills and turns them into a deliveryman metaphor, while the video finds the group hanging out in what we can only assume is their Chicago hometown, working at a pizza joint, delivering stuff in a pretty awesome delivery truck, and working as falconers (?).
“Delivery Man” is a Green Label free download, and is available here. [MTV]
