The Clientele: "Jerry"
The Clientele, aka that band that can make every song sound like London fog, are releasing a mini-LP called Minotaur in August, but you can hear the first single, called "Jerry," over at Pitchfork right now. The song is floaty, British and pleasant until a ripping guitar solo blows shit up at the two-and-a-half minute mark. This thing nearly gets to Mastodon levels of skull-thumping, right before it backs up again. It's a different look for the Clientele.
Minotaur is due out via Merge on August 31.
