Following their Grammy wins for Best Folk Album and best Country/Duo Group Performance, The Civil Wars returned to Jay Leno's show--where they made their TV debut last year--for a victory lap performance of "Birds of a Feather." I was sorta surprised to find out they won awards--I assumed the rootsy folk awards would go to the ghastly dudes in Mumford & Sons. But apparently the Grammy voters dig the hell out of understated duo-folk? You learn something about the Grammys every year, apparently.
Barton Hollow is out now.
