The Boy Least Likely To: "Christmas Isn't Christmas"
Is there an indie artist alive more suited for a Christmas album than twee musician The Boy Least Likely To? He already trafficked in adorable melodies, cutesy instrumentation that held a somewhat disconcerting edge. Well, okay, that last one may not be totally in the spirit of the holiday, but the man makes cute sad better than anyone, and "Christmas Isn't Christmas" is an excellent example. It's a song about dealing with a breakup over the holidays. It also has sleigh bells. If this isn't enough of a descriptor to get you listening to the song (at this link) then I don't know what else to do. The Boy Least Likely To's incredibly accurately titled Christmas Special is due Nov. 30. [Stereogum]
