The Big Sleep: "Valentine" (Video)
Brooklyn-based French Kiss artists The Big Sleep had a song named “Valentine” on the recently released Nature Experiments, so naturally a video for the song was forthcoming yesterday. It’s the kind of sharp and emotive indie rock this band has established a reputation for over the past few years, complete with Sonic-Youth-circa-“Sunday” guitar breaks and delicately seesawing male and female vocals. The video is a little creepy and most un-valentine like, with a guy following a woman down the street as he slowly becomes more and more bloody. Unfortunately no one saw fit to have him pun-tastically exclaim “My Bloody Valentine!” at any point…but maybe that’s not such a bad thing. Check out the video for “Valentine” below.
