The Big Pink: "Dominos" (MP3)

"Dominos" is the fourth single that The Big Pink has released in advance of its debut LP, A Brief History of Love, and it's their best. Big drums and upfront pop vocals give the song a Flaming Lips feel, minus the surreal lyrics. The feedback and sonic textures of their other work are still here, but not for their own sake. The result is good enough it's going to push me to reexamine their other songs.
