The Big Pink recently cut a session for Pitchfork's Don't Look Down, a series where bands play on NY rooftops. The band played their atmospheric jams "Dominos" (above) and "Velvet" at night, which is basically the most cliche setting for this, but it works so well. I feel like both of these songs are just a soundtrack placement from catching on really hard; they just need to get attached to the right movie and they'll be everywhere.
