The Avett Brothers brought their new single, "Slight Figure of Speech," onto Fallon last night, trying their best to bring a hootenanny experience to late night TV (and sorta succeeding, if you count those three people who dance in the background). Two things of note: One, scatting is never a good vocal technique, unless you're Cab Calloway, and two, a cello is not a rocking instrument, and should not be played standing up while howling.
Avett Brothers' I and Love and You is out now.
