The Avett Brothers: "One Too Many Mornings" (Bob Dylan Cover) (Live On Fallon) (Video)

North Carolina’s folk-punk band The Avett Brothers appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s show last night, where they performed a cover of Bob Dylan’s “One Too Many Mornings.” Why? Well, there’s a 4-CD box set of Dylan covers due out Jan. 24 titled Chimes of Freedom, with all proceeds going to Amnesty International. This sounds pretty much as you’d expect, with a country-ish twang being brought to the song via plucks of rustic banjo and gentle thuds of double bass. Record label execs who have taken note of Mumford & Sons’ inexplicable rise will no doubt be hoping this band has a new album ready to go sooner rather than later. Check out “One Too Many Mornings” in the clip below. [via The Audio Perv]
