The Allman Brothers Band: "Whipping Post" (Live On Fallon) (Video)
I got totally excited this morning when I saw that The Allman Brothers Band were the guest on Fallon's show last night. I had images of Black Thought dropping a verse in the middle of a song, Questlove banging the skins, and Tuba Gooding Jr. taking one of the solos. But instead, it was just The Allman Brothers Band (or three original members and whoever they're paying to join them) doing their sort of jam-bandy thing on "Whipping Post." I'm sure all the people with drug rugs will be digging this when it hits the county fairs this summer.

"whoever they happen to be paying" also happen to be among the world's finest musicians, and have all been dedicated members of the band for almost a decade. your characterization of allman brothers fans as drug addicts is short-sighted and offensive.
