Tennis: "Tears In The Typing Pool" (Broadcast Cover)
Husband and wife duo Alaina Moore and Patrick Riley, better known as Tennis, have released a cover of Broadcast’s “Tears in the Typing Pool.” This song originally appeared on the Broadcast’s excellent 2005 record Tender Buttons, and bears such a singular aesthetic that it takes a high level of bravery to attempt a cover version. Tennis wisely stick close to the original recording here, with Moore staying within the same deadpan range as Trish Keenan, and the music bearing some of the sci-fi pop hallmarks that Broadcast executed so wonderfully.
