Tennis: "Cape Dory" (Video)

If you haven’t heard the lo-fi pop duo Tennis from Denver, Colorado then say “hello!” The couple, made up of Alaina Moore and Patrick Riley, have been gathering buzz over the past year that included a recent feature in The Guardian’s New Band of the Day feature which described the two as, “C86-loving skinny Americans doing impressions of the Stooges doing impressions of the Supremes and the Shangri-Las.” Uh, okay?

Capitalizing on their growing popularity, the band recently released a video for the new track “Cape Dory” which can be found on their forthcoming 7-inch via Underwater Peoples. The footage is a dreamy kaleidoscope of colors washed across footage of some stoked dude being pulled via rope on his skateboard down a suburban street. Get the keys to your mom’s Buick, I think we just found a cure for our summer boredom. [The Tripwire]
