It’s been a big week for everyone’s favorite gun toting conservative, Ted Nugent. First, he pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor game violations in California after he was filmed shooting a young buck after illegally baiting it. Then, yesterday (Aug, 19) he appeared on Lopez Tonight, where he performed this version of “Great White Buffalo,” which originally appeared on the 1974 album, Tooth Fang & Claw.
The Nuge appears in flamboyant Native American headdress, delivering a mess of riffs and solos and gruff vocals that are barely discernible above the huge din his band churns out. But stick around until the 3:25 mark, where Nugent lays down his guitar, pulls out a bow and arrow, and shoots straight into an “x” painted on the back of his instrument. Anyone who thinks the Arcade Fire puts on a “great show” may want to drastically reconsider their words after seeing this.
