Ted Leo is testing out some unusual ways to promote his The Brutalist Bricks album, with karaoke shows, a rare TV appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s show, and now this promo video for “The Mighty Sparrow.” His ascent to superstardom is surely imminent (or perhaps not).
What initially appears to be a fairly standard performance clip quickly descends into something approaching anarchy, with head-spinning camera angles and plenty of balloon popping matching the frenetic nature of the song. The Brutalist Bricks is available now on Matador.
