To promote his recently released, and quite good, Gutter Rainbows album, Talib Kweli stopped by the Apple Store in Chicago for a live performance. I'm not sure which other tracks he performed, but we have here an a cappella version of his second verse on "Palookas" and the entirety of "The Blast." The former is one of Gutter Rainbows' highlights as the original features Sean Price and a beat from Marco Polo. Even without his guests in tow, Kweli rips through "Palookas" and transitions perfectly into one of his first hit tracks. "The Blast," which is off the Reflection Eternal debut, sounds just as great now as it did in 2000.
Gutter Rainbows is out now.
