The idea behind Talib Kweli’s CommunityMixtape is pretty neat. YearOfTheBlacksmith is asking up-and-coming producers from around the globe to submit their instrumentals; the best 20 of them will get their name on the record with a verse from Kweli. William Diggs is one of those lucky fellows, and his jam “1st Time” just leaked. Kweli and special-guest Consequence are their usual conscious selves, but Diggs’s warm, soul-sampling production stands out the most. It's pretty impressive for an amateur.
