Talib Kweli joined the growing Occupy Wall Street protest last night, dropping by to show solidarity and to deliver a spoken word piece called "Distraction." Kweli's new song is about the distractions of modern life, and how people know more about the Kardashians than about politics. I guess it works for this crowd? This sort of has a rap battle vibe, as people ooh and ahh at the good lines. After he finishes the new track, he rips into "Thieves of the Night" too, but after people start shouting out "Respiration."
