
Remember when T-Pain said he'd no longer use Auto-Tune? He doesn't either, as his latest single from his pREVOLVER mixtape is an experiment with slow jam R&B and Auto-Tune, while borrowing Dawn from Dirty Money.
Recommending the purchase/download of a T-Pain album is always suspect, but here's the thing: To me, T-Pain is 1000 percent more entertaining than every R&B crooner except The-Dream, since he's always clearly trying so hard, but he pretty much always blows it. Like, in T-Pain's mind, he's making the greatest music of all time, and adding that extra wash of Auto-Tune is going to make him into the next Michael Jackson or something. He's a lovable loser, who can't live down that weird period in 2006 when his music was literally everywhere. Now he's been replaced by the likes of Drake and whoever else is hot this month, and he's still doing this kind of music. He's like the Chicago Cubs of raunchy music, pretty much. Watch/rethink below:
