In the second single from Thr33 Rings, T-Pain uses “Chopped & Screwed” as a way to describe getting hosed by women. I’m not sure the phrase works as he intended (what does “shorty don’t chop me” mean?), but the song is hilarious for its blatant overuse of the vocoder. It’s like T-Pain read all the press about how he uses too much vocoder, and decided to use it on every vocal he sings. Ludacris pops by to drop a few bars towards the end, but this is T-Pain the cyborg’s show. [Fader]
