Swizz Beatz: "King Tut" f. Rakim
Swizz Beatz' latest Monster Mondays installment finds him partnered with rap legend Rakim. Yes, that Rakim. Of Paid In Full and Follow The Leader fame. Swizzy has never really had the best reputation as a rapper, so it's a little eyebrow-raising to see him attempt to go toe-to-toe with the O.G. microphone fiend. While Rakim easily bests him, it's apparent how excited Swizz Beatz is to be on the same track as the icon, and his enthusiasm manages to carry him through relatively intact. The beat, a steady knocker adorned with warped synth horns, isn't too bad either. Give it a listen below.
