Suuns: "Red Song" (Video)

Montreal-based Secretly Canadian signings Suuns have a new 12-inch single out featuring two tracks, “Bambi” and “Red Song.” The group has made a video for the latter, which simply features singer Ben Shemie mouthing the song in slow motion while ancient clips of VHS-damaged footage it cut in. Yes, there’s still mileage in that aesthetic in indie-rock circles, but to be fair it’s pretty well handled here, with the footage of Shemie helping to heighten the creepy atmosphere of the song. Suuns are currently on tour in Europe, but will return to these shores with a date in support of the Antlers at Webster Hall in New York on Dec. 10. [via OneThirtyBPM]
