The dudes in Surfer Blood have always seemed like they have a great appreciation for '80s indie, and they get to show that off in this episode of A.V. Undercover, which finds them covering Pixies' "Gigantic." The group doesn't try to tackle Kim Deal's vocals, instead inviting Sarah Baldwin from the Girls at Dawn to sing her part. Nothing can top the original, but it's nice to hear Surfer Blood in shit-kicking mode here, conjuring up more muscle than they show on their own stuff. Watch the original for comparison.
