Reinvigorated ‘90s indie rock legends Superchunk showed up on the Sound Opinions show on WBEZ recently to deliver a session, which featured this version of “Throwing Things.” This was originally the album closer to No Pocky for Kitty, which is now a staggering 20 years old. But this is a fine way to celebrate that album’s birthday, with singer Mac McCaughan still filling the song to the brim with emotion and the rest of the band thundering through some joyous riffage that has really aged remarkably well.
