Back in May, it was announced that Mick Jagger had joined forces with A.R. Rahman, Joss Stone, Eurythmics' Dave Stewart and Damian Marley in a new group called Super Heavy. The idea that the group would be actually making music together seemed impossible, but the group's debut single, "Miracle Worker," hit iTunes yesterday, and it isn't that terrible! It's got a reggae flow, a lot of shouting from Damian Marley, some solid vocals from Stone, and even more shouting from Mick Jagger. But here's the thing: This is at least better than most charity singles that bring this many big names in, and the way that they involve the three vocalists at least makes sense. You can pay for the song on iTunes now, or you can go to the BBC and fast forward to the 1:45:00 mark to hear it.
Super Heavy's debut album is due out on Sept. 20. [CoS]
