The 2000s continued to morph into the 1990s when the original members of Sunny Day Real Estate got back together earlier this year. The emo kings showed up on Jimmy Fallon’s show last night (Sept. 29), where they offered a masterclass in the genre they helped spawn.

The band performed “Seven” from its classic debut, Diary, which is now 15 years old. Time has been fairly kind to them, and new Sunny Day Real Estate material is expected to follow the recent reunion tour.
