In case you didn't already know, the 2011 San Miguel Primavera Sound Festival took place over the weekend and included huge sets from acts like the Flaming Lips, the National, Animal Collective, and Sufjan Stevens. The latter likely filled his set with tracks from his latest opus, The Age of Adz, at least that's the vibe I get from his nearly one-minute-long introduction in the above video. After explaining that the album is heavy on apocalyptic imagery and giving his own thoughts on the end of the world, he breaks into a song that he says "goes out to the one I love." The statement elicits a heartfelt "awwww" from whoever is holding the camera and leads into Stevens' solo cover of R.E.M.'s "The One I Love." It's pretty great and the sound remains relatively solid for the entire performance, though it's unfortunately less than two minutes long.
