Suckers: "A Mind I Knew"
Modest Mouse acolytes Suckers are set to release their delightful debut album, Wild Smile, via Frenchkiss on June 8. Expect it to be a big hit on college radio, given its broken pop sensibilities slotting it in between a lot of stuff currently bouncing around the CMJ-set. Pay particular mind to new single, "A Mind I Knew" (previously known as "Love Like Cancer"), which is now streaming at Spinner and encapsulates everything Suckers do so well: the howling verses, the harmonious camp-fire reveries and a general loopiness.
