Strong Arm Steady: "When Darkness Falls" f. Marsha Ambrosius
When Strong Arm Steady dropped off an Arms & Hammers leftover, "Hand Guns," last week, I noted that they apparently regretted not including that track on the album. But if it wasn't strong enough to make the cut, then the rest must be pretty damn good. And while I haven't heard the entire album, it keeps sounding better with each subsequent single.
From last fall's "Make Me Feel" through today's "When Darkness Falls," Arms & Hammers might be a contender for sleeper of the year if enough people check it. "When Darkness Falls" rides an organs and guitars-laced production from DJ Khalil, whose West Coast bangers are a natural fit for this Cali-based trio of MCs.
