Strong Arm Steady: "Hand Guns" f. Jelly Roll
Newcomers to Strong Arm Steady who fell for the West Coast rappers after hearing In Search of Stoney Jackson might be disappointed to know that Madlib doesn't necessarily have his hand in Arms & Hammers. They might be disappointed, sure, but they shouldn't worry. Just listen to this latest track, "Hand Guns," that somehow didn't make the cut for the trio's third proper album. Backed by menacing production from Jelly Roll, who also appears as a guest vocalist, the track is an absolute beast. Apparently the guys regret not putting this one on the album -- and I can't blame them -- but if the rest of the tracks are this good or better, Strong Arm Steady has another hit on its hands.
