(New) New York hip-hop collective World’s Fair has enjoyed a rise in stock this year thanks to posse cuts like “FLOAT” and “24KT Casket,” and holding a heavy presence in the city’s live scene. As an umbrella outfit, they’re known for spawning off-shoots (see: Children of the Night, the trio comprised of Remy Banks, Nasty Nigel and Lansky Jones, who put out the mightily impressive Queens… Revisited mixtape back in March), and now it’s Prince SAMO‘s turn to bat.
The Queens MC today debuts his new solo project, Street Viceroy. It’s a 12-track offering which continues to build the World’s Fair brand with uncompromising lyricism, an eclectic assortment of beats—which speak to both traditional and contemporary themes—and an imperceptible sense of unity among the city’s thriving culture: Mr. MFN eXquire, Bodega Bamz and Meechy Darko all guest.
