“Storms” (Fleetwood Mac Cover)

Come to think of it, this makes a whole lotta sense. As Pitchfork points out, Best Coast’s Bethany Consentino headed over to the UK recently in part to play BBC Radio 6’s Radcliffe & Maconie show. While there, Consentino took to a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s winding five-and-a-half-minute “Storms,” from the big-selling 1979 double-album Tusk. Compared to the original, this one’s maybe a little sweeter, but definitely not much. Head to the 58:00 mark to hear the cover, which will be released as a seven-inch with Best Coast’s The Only Place, out May 15 via Mexican Summer. (Goldfrapp, Beach House, the Pogues, and more follow the track on the show, so you might want to leave the thing on awhile after “Storms” is over.)
