Questlove had a busy day yesterday. After being taken on-stage at Prince’s Madison Square Garden show he also appeared at the Brooklyn Bowl afterparty, which featured Dr. John and Maceo Parker. The Roots’ drummer additionally had his day job to attend to on Jimmy Fallon’s show, and that also garnered a special guest appearance, as Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler jammed out a version of “Walk This Way” with the band. The song begins with Tyler playing drums (!) and includes vocal embellishments from Fallon, but otherwise it’s a pretty straightforward (and un-Roots-ified) version of the track.

Does everything on Jimmy Fallon's show have to be about Jimmy Fallon? I get that his main skills are cracking himself up and mugging for the camera and the only redeeming element of his show is the music. But now chucklehead interjects himself into the musical performances too...?
