
It's sounding like Statik Selektah's fourth album, Population Control, could be the one to really make a dent. That's not to say his previous records haven't, it's just the fact that the lineup for this one is so good. I mean, dude got Big K.R.I.T. and Freddie Gibbs on the same track, "Play the Game," and didn't just go the hype route that you might have expected. It's a super-smooth, almost-somber tune that couldn't have come out at a more perfect time. You see, autumn's creeping up on us all and this is the kind of music we're craving right about now. Some chillin' out with a hoodie on-type-shit.
