Whoever chose to shoot and release these visuals for Stalley's "The Tune Up" made the right choice. While the Ohio native certainly flexes his rapping skills on "SLAPP," it was more than just a lyrical exercise as it actually turned out to be one of his catchiest tunes yet. "The Tune Up," on the other hand, is a quick-and-to-the-point verse from Stalley, who here appears in three get-ups. He tosses aside the normal song structure and goes in for about a minute straight over a horns-laden beat from Rashad. I can see this fitting in as an interlude or intro track, though we'll have to wait to see where it lands on Lincoln Way Nights (Intelligent Trunk Music).
Lincoln Way Nights drops Feb. 8.
