Spoon: "Love Song" (The Damned Cover)

I've honestly never drank a single cup of Starbucks, so I can't say I've got anything against their expensive coffee/trenchant overtaking of the U.S. commercial real estate market. But I'm beginning to expect I might like the company's music label, because they got Spoon to cover the Damned's "Love Song" for a new compilation, and that's totally cool with me. Spoon up the song's drama considerably and lower the BPM, making this sound like a logical extension of their Transference material. Go here to hear. [via Stereogum]
