J. Spaceman brought his white-hot axe shredding to Letterman last night for a clamorous performance of “You Lie, You Cheat” from Spiritualized’s Songs in A&E. The song’s doo-wop back-up singers coupled with layered, feedback-heavy guitars seems unfit for TV, but somehow, it works brilliantly.
