“Special Effects” F. Himanshu & Action Bronson (Prod. Harry Fraud)

The underground hip-hop scene in New York continues to thrive, and part of the reason is probably because so many of the artists involved are connected. Exhibit A: Meyhem Lauren’s “Special Effects,” which sees  guest spots from Queens reps Action Bronson and Das Racist’s Himanshu.

Lauren has previously shared tracks with both Heems (“A Different World,” off Kool A.D.’s new tape) and Bronson (on the Blue Chips cut, “Expensive Pens”), the latter of whom announced an upcoming joint album with Harry Fraud, the producer behind “Effects.” (Heems is working on a collab EP with Fraud as well).

Anyway, here the three talented rappers trade verses over a great, pounding beat that you’ll soon find on Meyhem’s Respect the Fly Shit, which will be out later this month via LRG and Greedhead. You can give the track a spin below, and download it too. [SG]
