When 17-year-old girls are a significant element of your fanbase, you have to let them know that you care every once in a while. Before Soulja Boy did this with "Kiss Me Thru the Phone," and now he's doing it again with "Blowing Me Kisses," which manages to sound off-key in places despite being sung in Auto-tune.
But Soulja Boy isn't about things like "melody" and "rhythm," he's about CGI butterflies and being the creepy stalker dude in a (Gil Green-directed) video that doesn't really make narrative sense (he's hanging out on a speedboat with a girl who he can't have), and basically just having a lot more fun than you or me.
