Sonic Youth: "Sacred Trickster" (Live on Letterman)(Video)

The Matador Records Twitter feed has a number of links to Sonic Youth pictures from their Letterman appearance yesterday, which coincided with a weeklong set of clips on Pitchfork.tv. The band performed the opening track from their new album, The Eternal, which is titled “Sacred Trickster.” 

The brief song features some awful Elaine Benes-style mom dancing from Kim Gordon, although the rest of the band members maintain their cool, with Dave describing them as “seminal” before they begin. The Eternal is available now in a variety of formats (including this incredible set) on Matador.
