Sondre Lerche: "Private Caller" (Live On Letterman) (Video)
Norwegian singer-songwriter Sondre Lerche has had a busy year, with the release of his eponymous sixth album, plenty of touring, and his contribution to Muppets: The Green Album. All that hard work culminated in an appearance on David Letterman’s show last night, where Lerche played the second song from that new-ish solo record, “Private Caller.” His work is mostly untouched by current trends, instead focusing on old-fashioned craft, where meaty guitar riffs and carefully constructed songwriting combines to complete the picture. Lerche bears more than a passing resemblance to Tom Verlaine, although Letterman is too busy admiring his guitar at the end of this clip to notice. Check it out below. [via The Audio Perv]
