It's been forever and a day (aka 2006) since Snowden released their unjustly slept-on Anti-Anti, an emotionally fraught album of wiry post-punk energy. The band, led by songwriter Jordan Jeffares, are going the self-sufficient route for their new slate of music, opting to release a new EP, Slow Soft Syrup, via their website. Stereogum has an exclusive stream of "Don't Really Know Me," one of the EP's four originals, and the track captures what made Snowden great in 2006: The swooping, cinematic instrumentation, the destitute vocals, and the slow burn. Snowden are planning to release their sophomore album proper later this year.
