After every damn MC jumped on the instrumental for "I Wanna Rock," we get an official remix of Snoop Dogg's latest single. And it features a half-killer, half-annoying opening verse from Jay-Z. Not sure why Jigga is still doing those "ehhh" noises, but he drops a few of them on here. As for Snoop, he essentially puts his own spin on Rakim's "Microphone Fiend" and it surprisingly works. I write surprisingly because the West Coast OG's music has been lacking as of late. But on here, he sounds confident, smooth, and laid-back, a.k.a. the Snoop we all fell for in the early '90s.
