Small Black deals in lo-fi haze, stirring up a cloud of pixelated dust that swirls around crunchy guitars and resonant vocals. And "Kings of Animals" shows them up to their boozy tricks again. This kind of sounds like something you would have recorded into your Casio boombox as a kid. You know, if at that tender age you sang about the girl you just met at the bar, in the early Sunday morning hours, just as that hangover is starting to set in.
