Summer days are for taking it slow, letting things unfurl at an unhurried pace. Or maybe they’re about getting into trouble, blasting off for one adventure after another. Since forming 2010, the group has one EP to its name, Eleganza, and another on the way, the appropriately-titled Slow Daze. Prefix is premiering its opening track today, the sunshine-filled “Slow Days Fast Company.” As the beat churns, guitarist and singer Chris Pope sings of romantic infatuation and youthful meanderings. It’s all wrapped up in the best treat summer has to offer: fist-pumping pop-rock.
